We have been looking for a surveillance solution for our horses camps which are situated about 1km from us. I was hesitant to install Reolink but as it had favorable reviews to its competitors, we contacted Deon.

Deon's service is impeccable, friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. We received the camera within 5 working days, which is great for us as we live in an outlying area.

My doubts were silenced when I had a look at the camera, it is made from high quality plastics and metal, the camera screen is sturdy and even the brackets are strong metal.

Mounting is extremely easy and the box contained a few surprises.

The bracket comes with an optional belt that can be mounted on trees or poles, giving extra mobility to those that want it. The camera screws into the bracket, giving it further flexibility.

Another surprise is there is a universal charger cable that fits any charger, the one pity is there was not a charger plug included but this is a very minor detail. So instead of using the solar panel one can charge at home or in the office.

The other bonus was the inclusion of the sim card and 64gig SD card which made live easier. The Vodafone sim card is specialized and the data package is very cheap

Installation of the Sim card must be done before it is loaded into the camera. Our only problem was installing the sim card, which is not Reolink's fault.

The Reolink app is superb and well-thought out with a simple, logical layout. The benefits to this is that one can find under settings how charged the battery is and how much data is on the SD card.

Other functions include a photo share button and a video share button which is compatible with most other apps. Finally, camera quality has two settings, either fluent or full HD. The amount of data used is low for both settings.

A PIR schedule which is easy to use can be set to allow camera function at certain times. All in all this is probably the best buy I have had in a few years, well worth it.

This V-Sim is exempt from any RICA requirements as it's governed by the global Vodafone Smart App but will only work in the camera

I was sent easy to follow unboxing & setup videos for the camera & V-Sim activation & managed to set camera up in under 15 minutes.

The Reolink mobile app is super easy to navigate & after live viewing camera, I just needed my handyman to mount the camera for me.

Since it has been installed, I manage to effortlessly monitor a wood yard during the day & night & in all types of weather conditions too. I don't have to stress about power or wifi outages as the Reolink Go with solar panel works completely off the grid so I get to monitor yard & workers any time.
